Nominate for an Eric Hoffer Award

The Eric Hoffer Award committee presents two grand prizes each year: one for short prose and another for independent books. Both prizes are judged by independent panels, and the results are published in the annual anthology, Best New Writing. Anyone (including the author) can submit a single work of short prose or multiple books for a Hoffer Award. The Eric Hoffer Award for Short Prose
The grand prize for prose is currently $500, although all writers included in the annual anthology, Best New Writing, will be honored by the award. There is no nomination fee for the Hoffer Award, which is open to short prose in English, including translations, of less than 10,000 words. The Eric Hoffer Award for Independent Books
The grand prize for independent books is currently $1,500, although multiple category distinctions are honored by book and press type. The award is open to all books predominantly written in English from small, academic, and independent presses.
